Privacy Policy for Citadot

Effective date: 26 October 2026

The short version: Citadot does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information. It does not connect to the internet. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

1. Who I am

Citadot ("the game") is a single-player iPhone game made by Tariq Alali ("I", "me"), an individual developer. You can reach me at support@citadot.com.

Nothing. The game does not collect or send any of the following:

3. It works offline

The game has no online features and does not connect to the internet. Nothing is sent to me or to anyone else, so there is no server that holds your information.

4. Your saved city

Your city is saved on your own iPhone, in the game's private storage. I cannot see it. If you delete the game, the save is deleted with it. If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup for your iPhone, your phone may include the game's save file in that backup. That is done by Apple, under Apple's own privacy terms, not by me. The game itself does not use iCloud.

5. No accounts, no ads, no tracking

6. Permissions

The game does not ask for any special permission on your iPhone (no camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or notifications).

7. Buying the game

You buy the game from the Apple App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Apple's privacy policy applies to your purchase. I do not receive your name, payment details or contact details. Apple may give me reports with totals, such as how many copies were sold, and crash information from people who chose to share it with developers. These reports do not tell me who you are.

8. If you email me

If you write to support@citadot.com, I receive your email address and whatever you tell me. Your message is passed on by Cloudflare Email Routing (a mail-forwarding service from Cloudflare, Inc.) to my Apple iCloud Mail inbox, and my reply is sent from an Apple iCloud address. So Cloudflare and Apple handle your message on its way to me and back, under their own privacy policies. I use your email only to answer you and to fix problems with the game. I do not give it to anyone else, sell it or add you to any list. I delete these emails when I no longer need them.

9. Children

Citadot is made for people aged 13 and over, and the App Store age rating is 13+. The game collects no information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and think a child under 13 has emailed me, please write to me and I will delete the message.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to ask what information a company holds about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. The game holds no information about you. The only thing I might hold is an email you sent me. To ask about it, write to support@citadot.com.

11. This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. I use no analytics or ads on it, and I do not set cookies myself. Cloudflare may keep ordinary server logs (for example, visitor IP addresses) and may set security cookies of its own, for security and to run the service. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that.

12. Changes to this policy

If the game ever changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, if a future update adds online features), I will update this page and its date, and the App Store privacy information, before that update is released.
